I assume that Usher Hall gig wasn't his last Edinburgh gig then?  My bad. 😀

Think again.

It was £132 for pitch standing at his last UK gig in Cardiff.

Got everything crossed for tickets, the Billy Joel songbook is worth keeping an eye out for, seen it in the Usher Hall this year and the guy is tremendous

Could this break the record for oldest audience?

Saw that in Glasgow Concert Hall, was a good evening as the guy clearly loves the material.

Definitely going to the Murrayfield gig.

Piano man is a favourite of mine. Sign of a great songwriter when he can come up with something like that from his everyday life. He worked in a piano bar for 6 months and I would wager someone did say a line from the song or something like it, "man what are you doing here"

Great memory. I had a restricted view ticket at half price.

He was a dynamic performer back then, but I’m not sure now. I also saw him at Ibrox in 1998, not long after we won the cup, in a double show with Elton John. In my opinion he was struggling a bit by then.

I hope he can still give a great show.

I think I'm right in saying that he still pops down to Madison Square Garden once a month or so just to do a local gig. I wonder whether he ever just goes into a local bar where the piano sounds like a carnival and the microphone smells like a beer just to see whether he can get a few dollars put in the pint glass on his piano.

We saw that as well and agree 100%. Managed to get tickets for Murrayfield, will be the first (and probably last) time seeing him live.
