Ulysses Posted September 29, 2024 Posted September 29, 2024 Has died at the age of 88. A song here that contained at least a couple of the best single lines ever written. Quote
Tazio Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 (edited) What a life he lived. Rhodes Scholar, Vietnam vet, hippy songwriter, film star. And for the Irish the man who stepped up and consoled Sinead O’Connor when the tearing up of the pope’s picture scandal happened. Edited September 30, 2024 by Tazio Missing possessive apostrophe. This picture was taken just after she was booed by the crowd - it was a couple of weeks after she tore up the picture. Canscot Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 (edited) I was in Nashville a couple of weeks ago. I got this picture of a ceiling tile that he had signed in Tootsies Bar. RIP Kris. Edited September 30, 2024 by Canscot Quote
John Findlay Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 Remember him for A star is born with Barbara Streisand, and Convoy with Ali McGraw. I believe he was a Ranger in Vietnam. I work we with a fella who was called Kris after him as his mum is a big fan. RIP Kris Kristofferson. Quote

Yes he out shone Babs in “ a star is born” . a fine actor and song writer . His part was originally offered to Elvis . Now that would have been an incredible pairing , but as I said he was the best thing in the film . RIP Quote

SectionDJambo Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 One of the sad things about growing old yourself, is that people who you watched on tv and film, in your younger years, are being lost at an increasing rate. Quote
