Cade
Hard to believe it's only been a year since the last one, but here we are again! After S̵o̵r̵e̵e̵n̵ Loreen's unpopular win in somewhat controversial circumstances last year, we're back in Malmo, Sweden (yes, again). Petra Mede returns as presenter (yes, again), ably supported this time by Malin Akerman. Croatia, Switzerland and Ukraine seem to be leading the betting at the moment. Rehearsals are underway already. The usual mix of techno beats, power ballads, novelty songs and bursd rolling around on the floor that we've come to expect. 1st semi final is Tuesday 7th May, 2nd semi is Thursday 9th May and the Final is Saturday 11th May. Israel's participation has been controversial, to say the least. Some nations made lukewarm protests which came to nothing. The organisers are having some trouble finding volunteers to staff the event. We'll see how the audience react to the Israeli act. In 2014 the Russian act was loudly booed both when performing and every time they got any points from anyone.
