It wouldn't surprise me if the "£6m investment" turning into £6m on players was knowingly pushed towards friendly journalists and pundits even though it will never happen to help Foley and Kensell get fans on side for the sale. Once the sale happens then can claim that these reports are not true or distortions of the truth, then to placate the fans make out that they targeting good players from around the world who will be loaned to Hibs (but never come, like the player that was being talked about in the January window from South America.) I got a mate to take a wee detour along Albion Road on the evening of day 1. Just for a wee bit of schadenfreude. I can still picture their faces. 😁

I was stopped in Princes street, along with my brother, and asked if I would sign a 'Hands off Hibs' petition. I can still picture the look of bemusement on the guys face when we replied that given the opportunity, we would both go down to Easter Road stadium to help demolish it, brick by brick. Couldn't understand why anyone would want these vermin to exist and still can't. FTH then and FTH now.

I don't think he expected me to walk in wearing a Hearts shirt (I was only 22) and scarf but I did. I got a wee bit of stick, nothing I couldn't handle, and thoroughly, bloody enjoyed myself.
