PTBCAL
If he can’t trust her then he shouldn’t be in a relationship until he is mature enough to trust his partner. And if she cheats then she’s not for him. Sounds harsh but it’s fair advice

When you say pal at work, do they go for drinks after work? If so are they with others? Or just pals at work, in the office or wherever. I suppose with mobiles and social media it's easier to be in touch with work pals outside of work.

ToadKiller Dog
Most likely it's nothing beyond work based friendship. He needs to be told to think calmly ,jealousy and insecurities of your partner might not just destroy this relationship but him ever having a good relationship. If he goes threatening the guy to stay away and she finds out he will be definatly be dumped .

SM8
If they’re just chatting at work who cares but given you’re saying they ‘met’ at work, insinuates this is carrying on outside of work. If they’re meeting up outside of work and your mate’s son is deliberately excluded from this activity then it’s over already imo. Nobody needs a ‘slap’, or whatever. Just an explanation to the burd that he has boundaries in his relationships and this crosses them. Then quietly work on himself, forgive and forget, and learn from the experience.
