If the alternative is Stephen O’Donnell , the Kingsley is an obvious inclusion

You're assuming greg taylor also doesn't make the squad?

The last squad had about 25 players with about 4 likely to be part of things missing. Can’t seen anyone else being drafted in

Don't see it but given the injury situation plus the likelihood it is now going to be 26 and not 23 then it is possible depending on what happens between now and the start of June.

The following are stick ons for a 26 man squad if fit and available:

McKenna

Hanley

Porteous

Cooper

Souttar

Hendry

Robertson

Hickey

Tierney

Patterson would have been but that now looks improbable due to injury. Personally I'd be surprised if Taylor is not in it now with it being 26 players.

Defensively after that you are looking at Ralston, Doig, Hyam and yes Kingsley. Still think it's a long shot.

I'd be over the moon for him if he gets selected, I can't see it though

Kingsley isn't due a call up. I think for a player with his experience he has been average for the last few years

He was poor last season when he came back from injury but was excellent his first season and this season.

I can't see Kingsley getting in to the squad unless there are further injuries, we seem to be pretty set with our defenders (RWB aside). A shame for KIngsley that he's in this era with Robertson and Tierney.

With it looking like the squad's being increased to 26 I'd prefer that 'extra' players are in the midfield/attacking positions. Possibly need to take another RB if we end up taking a gamble on Hickey.

I haven't seen him play in a while but people say he's playing well. He's a goal threat from free kick too which could be useful

Are these two posts not just a wee bit contradictory?

I was wrong with my first point. As I said I don't go to games, looking at the teams form it suggests he is having a good season

Just had to Google who he is...no assumption on whether he does or doesn't make the squad.

I think Hickey and Armstrong will both make it. And if they do, Hickey replaces Patterson from the last squad we are only really down Ferguson numbers wise.

Fair enough

Right back?  Don’t think he’s even played RB for Hearts never mind Scotland!

Yes, this season and did a good job.

I think his dad suffering with a serious illness played a big part in his loss of form. Glad to see him back to his best this season. Just wish we had won a few more free kicks in his range as we haven't seemed to have had many.

He looked really nervous and didn't do himself justice when playing against Ukraine and hasn't had a look in since, cant see him getting selected

Another very fine performance from the man today. His reading of the game and in game intelligence is brilliant. Was my man of the match today.

Was laughing when he clearly knew it wasn't a penalty, telling Craigy to throw the ball to the corner flag.

Surely by christ he's played/playing his way into the Euro's squad.

I can't see him getting picked.  That is the head talking over the heart.

A Rolls Royce performance today. Surely deserves a chance of going to the Euro's for his consistent performances. Being able to play in various defensive positions must be a plus.

Given his ability to play well right across and marshall the defence, make driving forward runs and take goal scoring free kicks, Steve Clarke would really be amiss in not having Kingsley in a 26 man squad when you know there will be injuries in the 3, or hopefully more, games scheduled.

He's also got an added new talent of refereeing penalty awards!  😉

He should be there, performance today cemented it for me. This is Clarke tho, who I sadly, have no confidence in.

You have no confidence in the man who has taken us to 2 major Championships having been at none in over 20 years!

I think Clarke is waiting for Brendan Rogers to tell him which 3 extra Celtic players he thinks should go.

No better player in our team just now.  Mr dependable. He reminds me in many ways of John Cumming. That’s how dependable he is.

Unfortunately Taylor will be a shoe in as he plays for Celtic. However Kingsley is a far better player than him. Kingsley I think also has an advantage in that he can cover centre half and also had a lot of experience on the left side of Clarke’s preferred 3-5-2 formation where Tierney and Robertson pretty much both roam the left had side. Kingsley is very capable of slotting into either role comfortably

Its unlikely unfortunately but if Tierney and Hickey are out it could happen.

He should be with all the injuries, being selfish i would rather he got a break after playing so much this season.

If he picks crap like Cooper/Hanley/Souttar/Taylor and worst of all Porteous ahead of Kingsley then questions will rightfully be asked.

Guy is class - really consistent but at a very high level. No idea how we’ve managed to keep him for so long, could play at a higher level than Scotland with ease.

i think he should be a part of the squad and hope he is, but concerned he’s not had more opportunities when tierney has been injured as plays the LCB role better than anyone other than tierney that’s available for Scotland.

hope he stays with us for years to come - captain material too

Devil's advocate here but the last time he played for Scotland he looked out his depth.

I think he will be a Heart great for years to come though

The entire team were poor that night. He deserves more than one game to prove that he can cut it at international level.

IMO he's the obvious rotation option with Tierney who is made of glass anyway. Like, if Tierney went off injured, Kingsley is the most similar replacement. There are bigger stronger defenders, but in terms of what he brings, its not disimilar, albeit that Tierney is a better player.

Theres no way that Ryan Porteous is a better defender than Kingsley, Stevie Wonder could see that. But hes not one of Clarkes wee pals.

Exactly, Souttar is exposed every week also. There is a dearth of top class CHs right now, why hes played LBs and Midfielders in there. A glaring weakness in a functional team.

That's not a grudge, it's a common sense thought. Playing Marshall should have been a stackable offence

I heard the end of 5 Live commentary on the OF game.  They were laughing at Ralston saying he had no right foot and was trying to get it on his left.

Is that so?  He could be shaping up as our first choice RB or RWB given the injuries.

You would think Naismith will at least have mentioned Kingsley to Clarke as they’ve bound to have had discussions about our goalkeepers. Kingsley after a blip last season has been immense and back to his best.

Yes, looks like a world beater, slow, cant hamdle physical or quick players, ball watcher. Plays a nice pass once a month. The Rangers defence is awful most weeks and hes a huge part of the problem. He’s behind Porteous ffs 😆
As i said Scotland are really struggling for any top class CHs.
