Doesn't have to be Hearts related. Here's one of mine. In the late 90's I played Sunday league in Malvern Worcestershire. We reached the final of the Worcestershire Sunday Cup, which was amazing for a club of our size. We played another Malvern team, so they decided to play the game at Malvern town instead of Worcester city. Anyway, we pumped them 5 zip, then the carnage began. Using the cup to hold our kitty we started a pub crawl around Malvern. A month after the season had finished, we started getting calls from the treasurer. Unbeknown to us the treasurer had stuck £250 of club money into the kitty. He was asking us to stump up cash to pay it back. He had submitted the books to Worcestershire FA, and they did not accept a £250 expense simply labeled 'Cup Fever'! Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
