His best moments are probably as a footballer.

But this is mine and many others'.

Disgusting piece of shit .

Lots of assumptions and opinions on someone found not guilty beyond a reasonable doubt by the United States of America's justice system.

Unless of course you mean the victims of his battery, kidnapping and robbery charges which he was found guilty of, of course.

He was found liable for the murder in a civil court.

Mr Sifter

Youngsters on here will have no idea just how absolutely massive the OJ story was back in the mid nineties. The first ever superstar trial that I had ever seen. It was box office, covered every night here in Scotland on the telly. It was huge.

I was actually in America in 1995 whilst the trial was on. It was wall to wall, 24/7 stuff. I even bought a book about the trial…whilst the trial was still on 😳

A massive massive figure in popular culture, rightly or wrongly.

Anyway, he’ll be up in the Police Squad in the sky now. How he survived that fall off the top tier of that baseball stadium I’ll never know. I blame Enrico Pollazio.

It is a brilliant series about his whole life - The People versus OJ Simpson.

Now an obituary.

R.I.P juice. The first RB to rush for 2000 yards and in a 14 game season as well.

Don't know what was worse, the murders or the introduction to the Kardashian family.

It’s decent but the documentary about him, OJ: Made In America is absolutely outstanding. Currently on Disney, it’s part of the excellent ESPN 30 For 30 series.

Costanza

Still blows my mind he released a book called 'If I Did It' as a hypothetical account of the murders.

Anyway, this is from today's popb1tch mailout:

"
Now there's zero chance of OJ suing for libel, we'll be interested to see if any other celebrities come forward and lend any credence to the curious theory that Sharon Osbourne used to have about that fateful night.

Back in the Osbournes' MTV heyday, Sharon claimed that she and Ozzy stopped doing drugs after Nicole Simpson was murdered because OJ and Nicole were their dealers. According to her, the couple had carved out a nice little niche for themselves as suppliers of gak to the Hollywood A-list but their dealing led to unwelcome attention from local organised criminals, who eventually put out a hit on them to stop the enterprise.

The reason OJ jumped in his Bronco and fled? Sharon's theory was that he was off his head when the hitman took out Nicole and, in his paranoid state, figured they would be after him too."

Shooter McGavin

Too young to remember it, but if the People vs OJ series is accurate then it's beyond belief how he got off the hook.

Crazy how the race card was played, and all evidence was just completely ignored.

Is evidence of how insidious domestic abuse is and how far it can go . That poor woman . ( and the guy too. )

Costanza

One of the greatest ever sitcom characters,  Jackie Chiles from Seinfeld was based on Johnnie Cochran who defended OJ, so there was one benefit that came out of it all.

No man should strike a woman, never ever.

Nah. Canny say that. What about the bird from that Channel 5 documentary, My Wife, My Abuser?

I’ve not seen that documentary, Andy, due to my location.

However, I stick by my guns.  No man should strike a lady/woman.

It’s just wrong and is cowardly behaviour.

Some really extreme views on here. I've not really got an opinion on OJ as I don't know much about his 'criminal behaviour'. He was acquitted in court, presumably not by an all black jury?
