Crazy decision by Irish basketball administrators

Oddball sports story in Irish media yesterday and today.

In brief, the losing side in an Irish basketball quarter-final appealed that the result was invalid.  The ruling body decided that the the two teams should meet again and replay...

...the last 0.3 seconds of the game.

The team who filed the appeal have refused to play.  Explained more fully in these links.

0.3 seconds of Division 1 quarter-final to be replayed

Portlaoise Panthers refuse to play 0.3 seconds (rte.ie)

It must surely be a contender for the Crazy Sporting Decision of the Year Award (if there is such a thing).

Take it everyone knows how 0.3 seconds goes.

They'd to set it up first. Get everyone in exactly the same position on the court.

Even then its gone before you can do anything.
