Geoff Kilpatrick
Clark - 6 - Untroubled evening. Shanks made the only save of the night for us. Kent - 8 - Dominated at the back Kingsley - 7 - A good foil for Kent as ever Lembikisa - 6 - Faded out of the game. One decent hit Cochrane - 7 - His combination play with Forrest at the minute is our key strength Baningime - 7 - Slowly getting back to his best Fraser - 6 - Took up a lot of good positions but nothing really came off for him Nieuwenhof - 7 - Linked well with Beni and did a lot of dirty work Shankland - 8 - MoM. Creates a goal through sheer willpower and heads off the line to keep the clean sheet. Forrest - 7 - The curling shot that just went wide sums up how much his confidence has lifted. Has been better recently but still had a good game Vargas - 7 - Looked threatening even in a game of few chances Subs: Halkett - 4 - Comfortable Oda - 5 - Came on like a man possessed Grant - 3 - Couple of nice touches

hearts00
Agree with pretty much all of that. Hoff did very well tonight, Kent superb. Vargas starting to annoy me with his shooting though, needs to start hitting the target. Another great three points. Not sure how much action Fraser has seen so maybe a few games til we see him perform.

Not so much faded as occupied in defence. A job he did well. Apart from that can't argue.

Jamb04life
Can’t argue with the ratings. Kent and Kingsley solid at the back. Beni n Hoff forming a good partnership too. Shanks scoring a goal from nothing. Not a great game but another away win/decent performance!
chester copperpot
Thought Beni was head and shoulders above everyone else tbh
BelgeJambo
Solid 7-8 all round wouldn’t say Shankland was MotM Kingsley was solid and covered Kent a few times St Johnstone CF was a handful for 50-60 minutes Forrest again was consistent
GarryJ-o-s
10 Defensive headers from Kent. Guy is a rock at the back. A very astute signing and without Shankland heroics would be POTY IMO.
Madjambo21
Fraser tried a few things that didn't come off but don't think he has played much football lately. I wonder if our slower build up play makes it harder for the no.10 role. I think Grant is a good player just wonder if its more how our team play that holds back these players. Great to see the team slog out wins like this though 👏 Edited February 7 by Madjambo21
Jam-Tart
Shankland 8 m.o.m, closely followed by the Hoff 8, Kent, Beni & Cochrane 7's the rest 6's.

tiger Rudi
A controlled, efficient performance overall. Not a great game but deserved winners. 6's all over apart from 7's for Forrest and Hoff. (one of Hoffs best games). 8 for Shanks and a 9 for Kent. Head and shoulders above everybody else, thought he was outstanding. Fraser will need to improve if he wants to shift Grant from the starting 11. His first start and done ok though.
Bob Loblaw
I like Nieuwenhof anyway but I think that might've been his best game.for us. Won the ball, kept the ball, used it intelligently, brilliant energy, joining attacks, taking players on. Superb.

boag1874
Ditto the Hoff motm shouts, thought he really controlled that midfield and used the ball intelligently when he won it
feedthefox
Kingsley and Kent 8 - were both immense Cochrane 6 - shouldn't be allowed anywhere near dead ball situations he drives you nuts. Fraser 5 - should have been off a lot sooner than he was he was nowhere near up to speed, didn't look very mobile in fact he looked a bit wooden. Early days I daresay but Grant should be ahead of him. Vargas - needs to stop taking wild slashes does he do any shooting practice? Oda - what an impact player he's becoming
mbingcrosby
Looked like Hearts lost control of the midfield a bit near the end, but Hoff still gets MOTM for me.

Great to see the team slog out wins like this though 👏 I've got a feeling Dhanda will make a difference. Just seems a bit more mobile than the likes of Fraser and Grant. Not having a go at either player but I'm hopeful Dhanda will bring some much needed energy in that area of the pitch as well as service and support for Shankland. If Grant could find some consistency from week to week he'd be a far better player. Wouldn't like to lose him, he's got a lot to offer the squad. So, not only are we falling apart again, we've lost control as well. I can see a wee Joy Division medley emerging.

5jambo1
Agree with most, just in general a good team performance all round. i like how when we are playing these types of games now, we seem to control them so much better than years gone by. We actually look like we are better man for man all round the park and our performances shows that we are the superior team. We win our battles, we look stronger, sharper, seem to be in the right place for second balls, always have more possession and overall look like the better football team. massive credit to the management team. We have an identity, a big team mentality and have a confidence about us
