For me real acting is stage acting

Very different disciplines. Some stage actors are terrible on screen, some screen actors can’t act on stage. Some luckily for them can do both.

The best acting I see is when I watch a Premiership Football game, grown men get a tiny glancing tap on the ankle and roll about like they've been shot (by a rifle who's bearrel life is about 6 seconds!) in a performance that wouldn’t look out of place in Shaving Ryans Privates.

It's a good point. Tierney was a bit of an actor as was Henrik Larsson at Celtic

I once went on a date with a lass. We met at a Vegan restaurant.

My performance of "Man pretending to enjoy Vegan Haggis" was Oscar worthy.

😅😅 you got further into the date than I would.

I had a similar experience, I was trying to gain access to a pair of knickers belonging to a bursd fron Roslin, I had to pretend to enjoy the Deacon Blue gig I bought two tickets for, and in the end...........not a fucing sniff🤬🤬🤬

I had to suffer similar on a date. Hue And Cry sing Sinatra. I got rewarded better than you but I couldn’t help wonder if it was worth the 2 hours of that gig that I would never get back.

Sadly no.

To deliver a performance of that magnitude and not come away with the prize hurt me deeply. I'd be lying if I said I was just glad to be nominated but instead I was left heading home to just hold my own golden globes.

Surely the thread title is an oxymoron?

You are either real or you're acting.
