Even in the 10 years of so she’s been away from it she can see just how far downhill it’s gone. And not just the tourist bits but the actual town itself and where the locals live. Her street where she was brought up has gone from a good solid working class neighbourhood to a place where her dad is stuck in a house that’s too big for him as he’d struggle to sell it. The town is just tragic now, like Morecambe, the main drag is just about passible but go two streets back and it's a truly depressing site sadly. Had a couple of hours to kill so had a walk about and I was genuinely shocked at the nick of the place. I honestly didn't think it was as bad as people said it was until I saw it for myself.
