It’s brilliantly catchy. I’ve been singing it in my head for days.

We should be singing it every week and increasing the points difference as we go.

And they’ve got 2 games in hand. The sentiment was funny though you have to say

Not miserable just practical. All good fun at the game but one should always be prepared for the unthinkable, that way you are ready for any unforeseeable circumstances.

Yup. Though when we changed it to 13 mid match I had a feeling it was going to bite us in the ass. Very catchy though so was happy to hear it again on Saturday!

They will also need to play more midweek games again after thinking they would be able to make some traction once they were out of Europe

Can see us beginning to claw back their lead between now and the end of November. Their next ten league fixtures are:

Dundee (A)

Hearts (H)

Celtic (A)

Dundee Utd (H)

Rangers (H)

Hibs (A)

Dundee (H)

St Mirren (A)

Hearts (A)

Celtic (H)

If we can win at Pittodrie then I think they’ll be lucky to get 6 points from those games. And suddenly they’ll be looking back up at us and we can start belting out this catchy little number again in time for Christmas.

They have won easy games that we have lost but the fixtures have been so incredibly favourable for them. 3 home games in firsr five and no OF. We’ve played both the OF and had three away games.

Meanwhile  they had Killie and St Mirren after they played in Europe and they will get us after we play in Europe.

In terms of us achieving third though I am starting to think we must beat them in a few weeks. Mind you thinking if third place for us right now is utterly laughable.

Putting aside the rest of your incredibly optimistic post we haven't won at Pittodrie since 2016 so it is a massive, massive IF that we can win there. Additionally we play the Minsk away game the Thursday before going up there.

Since that 1-0 win (Dauda scored the only goal), we have gone to Pittodrie 11 times:

Won 0

Drawn 2

Lost 9

For 5

Against 20

I reckon they’ll get 16-19 points from that lot. They’ll be out of sight of us if they do

St Mirren and Hibs away will tell you if they’re the real deal or not

They are shite, I’m in no way saying they won’t finish above us but I am saying they are nothing to be scared off .

they’ve beaten saints and county away. Both with huge slices of luck, sneaked last Killie and saints post Europe, and sneaked past well today. In phone of those games have they actually been in any way dominants. They also struggles against queens at home.

This.  We can't legislate for how others play, but it's up to us to get our house in  order.

So what if they are shite?  We, it would seem, can out-shite them these days with both hands tied behind our back.  🤷‍♀️

I did caveat the forecast by saying “if we can win at Pittodrie”.

They have just as shit a record at Tynecastle as we do at Pittodrie.

They also bend over to the Old Firm at every opportunity.

that leaves them with the following fixtures:

Dundee (A)

Dundee Utd (H)

Hibs (A)

Dundee (H)

St Mirren (A)

Their only home fixtures are against the Dundee teams. They might beat them.

They can easily get beat away to Dundee, St Mirren and Hibs.

So that’s six points maximum. not as unbelievable as you’d first think.

Now I agree that it means next to nothing if we don’t start picking up points ourselves but I’m very confident that we’ll pick up more points between now and 2nd December than they will.

Hate to say it but we should be more concerned about the likes of St Johnstone and Ross County than Aberdeen at the moment 😢

They're playing one game a week most weeks.

We play Minsk away 3 days before Aberdeen at pitodire.

We also play Omonia 3 days before hibs at Fester road.

I think the gap grows rather than shrinks.

They’ve had a pretty easy start to the season. Momentum is a big thing in this league though. Confidence is strong for them but they’ve got trickier ties coming up

Just winning a game of football would be a start, never mind clawing back on the current second placed team

Aberdeen portably couldn’t have hand picked a better first 5 league (even their cup draw) fixtures.

We aren’t catching them though.

Which ridiculous as we (IMO anyway) have a superior squad.

Posted

Aberdeen have been lucky with the way the fixtures have gone. They will be found out soon enough. Not saying we will catch them but they aren’t as good as they think they are . Many think they are winning the league 🤣

Their bubble has well and truly burst now. Let’s get Shank the Tank scoring again and start putting them under pressure. They’ll crumble.
