Craig_
If it's cheap tat you're after, then it's the place to go. Don't go expecting quality at those prices.

My lad has bought two packages off of it for £10. One was absolute garbage (his choices were shiiite though), but the one he just received was actually decent. It was £10 and he got… a tripod for filming his golf swing (actually good quality) a Mag safe charger for phone a baseball type cap that goes around your face and ears that’s all furry inside (wanted it for the supposed coming snow) glow in the dark golf balls (not sure about him hitting them with his clubs which are really good😬) a portable pocket sized refillable aftershave sprayer Edited November 30, 2023 by luckyBatistuta
tian447
Temu uses you as an intermediate step compared to just throwing stuff directly into landfill. Cheap, knockoff, potentially unsafe shite. I would not be using any electronic devices from them, that's for sure. No safety standards, no quality control, made for pennies by unskilled workers in some sweatshop. On top of the low quality, their app requests all kinds of data permissions that it should not need. There are some concerns about what sort of data it is collecting and what they are doing with it. For example: China's Cybersecurity Law, introduced in 2016 and enforced from June 2017, obligates Critical Information Infrastructure (CII) operators to provide unobstructed access to their data to the government and mandates that such data be stored exclusively within mainland China. Moreover, the 2012 Constitution of the Communist Party of China stipulates that senior members of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) must be granted the opportunity to occupy leadership positions within public and private companies operating in China. By 2017, these government officials held roles in approximately 70 percent of China's 1.86 million privately-owned companies. Temu can gtf. ¼½¾
I've bought a few things from them. Some stuff was okay. Some was utter garbage. It's not worth sending any crap back though , as the postage will probably cost more than the item.

Like 99% of everyone’s phone chargers, batteries, irons, hairdryers (insert any other small household appliance) made in China using an almost identical “C E” European safety symbol which actually means Chinese Engineering. At least you have slightly less chance of an official charger bursting into flames than a 35p Temu special.
