Thought updates would be helpful in general terms.

Today (30th Oct) incident at Baberton. Everything emptying at presumably Calder roundabout. Absolute gridlock on all roads surrounding. Happens often and it’s ****ing annoying.

It’s down to 1 lane again just before the bank. Digging holes at the side of the road

Was bad around West Tollcross / bottom of Ponton Street because of *****s blocking the junction where the bike shop is.

20 minutes from the fire station to Morrison Street.

4 times this month I've been late to work because people can't drive in the rain.

Maybe leave a bit earlier when its raining then to compensate.

Carnage at Dreghorn there.

About 30 police, folk fighting each other, a Rangers fan getting cuffed, drivers out their cars.

Tail backs to Hermiston Gait

It sounds like a bit of road rage shut the bypass down

To be fair, the road is well past its sell by date and is in desperate need of an upgrade, starting at sheriffhall

There are current three police cars and two motor cycles seemingly doing random stops and checks on vehicles on Redford Road (by the burn).  I don't imagine its connected with the bypass incident up the road, as they just seemed to be checking tyres, wipers, lights (and probably insurance/MOT).

It's usually just vans that the police stop.

If they fail to pull over when asked, then the motorbikes will pursue.

Maybe something has happened between the van and the police bikes up at the bypass

The 13yo done with assault and 61yo done with road traffic offences.

Teens think that they can do what they want in this country because the government are too soft to punish them properly

Surely not from the self appointed expert socio-political commentator who struggles to use " quotation marks "?
