Spellczech
How anyone can put True Blue in the middle of Madonna's album releases?... but they all do. Music journalists are pretentious T.wats Likewise, Lovesexy is up there with Diamonds & Pearls and just behind Purple Rain for Prince albums. Having said that I lost my virginity by playing it on my dad's car stereo on a campsite in France in the 80s as a stunning Dutch girl was passing by... Tazio
I Just Can’t Stop It by The Beat. I’ve never understood how they didn’t get as much acclaim as the other British ska bands. I suspect they were a bit too authentic compared to the pop of bands like Madness and Bad Manners, and not seen as serious like The Specials. I bought this when it came out in 1980 and still listen to that original album every now and then.

leginten
Don Juan’s Reckless Daughter. Joni’s deep, mysterious venture into all sorts of stuff. Mostly it sounds like nothing she did before or after. Orchestral suite, latin percussion piece, lots of bass-driven pieces with Jaco Pastorius at his best, some glorious “quiet” songs. It doesn’t hang together well enough as an album (it’s a double) to be regarded as her best record, but it’s not far short.

It's very good - I actually meant Echoes is their finest track of all on all their albums. Although I think Drrk Side is the finest album, the Echoes track is a half album in itself and is a superb integrated piece which I think any modern classical composer would have been proud to have written.
