Yeah most of them are pretty poor imitations but there is always the potential if they are treated with respect. The Hawaii 50 reboot was quite good as was Battlestar Galactica

Me and my brother played our own version of that vortex thingy that wouldn't pass any modern health and safety standards.

 

Blake's 7 was a good shout for a reboot also, as long as it stuck close to the original.
