Having started my previous career with a company that seemed to specialise in "synergies" (i.e. making folk redundant by shipping their jobs to Bangalore), the last few months have convinced me that karma exists. After finally making it through a horrifically drawn out redundancy program, I've spent the first three days in my new position berating some poor **** called 'Steve' in Mumbai about my lack of proper email address, working telephone or keyboard.
