The Jambos must also pay €2,250 for the "throwing of objects" onto the pitch by fans during their away match against RFS in Latvia and received a warning for “improper conduct of the team”. I doubt very much it's possible for a Scottish club not to incur some financial punishment if playing more than a round or two. I remember we were absolutely hammerd by them in 1989. Iirc, we, apparently, allowed the first leg vs. Bayern at Tynecastle to be broadcast in Germany. However, as another club, maybe Stuttgart, were playing a tie in the country we broke the rules. The fine was about £30k, a lot to Hearts 33 years ago. Wallace Mercer appealled and the fine was trebled. it basically ate up any fee we had received from the German broadcaster.
