If Barrie was a finisher we’d have walked that game.

Definitely two points dropped to that $#!te.

Indeed. Let them celebrate their draw. Masks the fact that they are utter dugshite.

We know he isn’t though yet we only sign one striker

We are still in the market for players. It's amazing the number who suddenly become available at the end of the transfer window. No point in doing a Hibs in bringing in a full new team again in the hope that some of them are good.

Not really working out that well yet

a lucky win v Ross county at home and a draw with Hibs

During the 22 in a row, we only got 5 wins at ER. Wins at home and draws away are part of the natural order. They had to forgo millions and get their only dangerous player of the past 3 seasons back and even then it took a last minute equalizer to avoid us strolling out of there with three points.

FTH.

EDIT: Oops, should be six. Missed a SC result. Anyway, same basic idea.

A lucky win and an unlucky draw. I am sure we have players on our radar but playing the waiting game in regards to availability.

Yip, we’re the only team in the league not too have completed our squad yet. 🥸

Yes 2pt dropped is disappointing but we definatly are a class above them .

A few more additions and once we hit full form that won't happen again .

They won't beat us this season

That run will be 10 at least by seasons end .

Lone Striker

11 matches played (and 1  still playing) - only 2 of them saw a team score more than 2 goals  (Celtic  & Aberdeen).  Looks like early season cobwebs affecting forwards at lots of teams, not just us.

C'mon the Livi !!

If Barrie McKay was a finisher we would win the league….

or more likely, he wouldn’t be playing for us!

After watching that today it should be 9 in a row come the end of the season they’re not going to get away with hoofing it up to that Youan all season and bottom six is where they’ll be.

They didn't beat us today.

I'd lay money we won't beat them at Easter Road either.

Good point mate.

People will have forgotten how many of our big undefeated runs were draws, shit performances or games Hibs should have won.

Good thread Geoff. Though it feels like a loss, bar some sloppy finishing, we are on a good journey, miles ahead of them

On that viewing there’s a good chance it’ll hit double figures soon. Hibs are awful. We weren’t great today but absolutely dominated the game. Next time we play we’ll likely be 12+ points ahead of them.

The quality of our players is better than last season. Getting them ready for the start of the season is RN’s job.  Don’t think he has had the best start to the season.

I reckon the current table won't be far off the final one, maybe move Dundee United up a bit and Hibs down.

Disappointing of course, as it should have been a win - but the story so far in the 2020s;

Hearts 4 wins
Hibs 0 wins
Draw 3

Very true although I can't ever remember them scoring a crucial goal with effectively the last kick of the game against us before. Late goals for both sides sure but today in no way felt like natural order.

Don't recall any last gasp equalisers for them during 17 or 22 though. They were there for the taking today and we blew it.

He's talking about the fact most of the draws in these unbeaten runs were us equalising when we might not deserve to

Now apparently last minute Hibs equalisers are the same thing

FFS we're soft these days

Lucky? Took control in the second half and scored two quality goals. Something that County didn't have.

An unbeaten run is an unbeaten run.

If Barrie was a finisher, he wouldn't be playing for Hearts! He would be the complete player, but alas, his finishing since he came to us has been the opposite of his general play unfortunately...hopefully he does work on it though so he can take one or two more than he is currently fluffing (as in his time with us)

I understand the point but either you are too young to remember just how shite we were in many of those games or you have another angle on this.

We were utter pish in a few of those games but dogged spirit stopped us from losing.

I wish he’d taken that chance in the second half first time.

You're right: there were a few when dogged spirit stopped us losing.

What I don't remember, although I may be wrong, is too many last minute goals to give them an undeserved point

Yes this is true. For example in season 1992/93 we were battered twice at Easter Road but MOTM performances from Henry Smith and then Nicky Walker got us a 0-0 draw in each of those. Hibs left feeling frustrated on those occasions but today we are the frustrated ones unfortunately. As I've said on another thread I'd have been happy with a point before kick off due to the nature of these games but that was a sore one for us.

So what mate?

What about the 4-4 at Tynie?

Jesus. We have no ultimate right to dominate every single game against these wankers - why do you think we do? Because we are Gorgie as ****?

Of course - totally agree. It was a sore one. And we could have defended so much better in that last 30 seconds and I don’t know why we didn’t.

Great thread.

It has started.

They'll not beat us this season.

Will be 5 years since they beat us at home if that happens and we'll be 10iar or more.
