BigStein Posted August 5, 2022 Posted August 5, 2022 One that sticks out for some reason was the 2-2 game in 2011 when Stephen Elliott equalised. The celebrations were incredible when that went in Quote
August Landmesser Posted August 5, 2022 Posted August 5, 2022 (edited) In hindsight the Mercer Derby was great fun,but I was slightly too young to truly appreciate the seethe from the Hibs fans. Wayne Foster day though. Magnificent. Giving Derek Johnstone in the wee TV studio abuse all game as he'd predicted a Hibs win I think, big tinfoil key for 21, and a late late winner. Just brilliant! And Fozzy of all people, calm cool finish slotting it through Bandy's legs. We were all getting ready to duck behind the goal, and then mayhem! Edited August 5, 2022 by August Landmesser Quote
ModJambo Posted August 5, 2022 Posted August 5, 2022 The 3-1 before lockdown was pretty sweet. My first ever one was at ER was the Ozturk one, I enjoyed that because we were so poor and down to ten men. Quote

The hibs fans singing away thinking they,d won & ending our unbeaten run in the championship but it wasn't to be.. Smashed it in,limbs going crazy in away end, popeye in shock & Robbie losing his s*** with such emotion we don't see much of from him. Agreed. Amazing scenes. Whomever did the 'Ozturk clamping Stubbs' video deserves an oscar. The follow-up game when Ozturk scored a similar goal was a total hoot. Thereafter, whenever he had the ball at Tynie the crowd roared, "SHOOT!!!". Happy days. Quote

neilnunb Posted August 5, 2022 Posted August 5, 2022 Easily the Mercer derby. Probably my favourite derby of all time, even allowing for 2012. I always say this but...the female Hibee on the pitch at half-time twirling her scarf infront of the Hearts support to chants of "get your tits out for the boys" and then for her to trip over herself onto her pus 🤣🤣 Quote

savage Posted August 5, 2022 Posted August 5, 2022 (edited) 10/2006 Arrived at Easter Road massive queues as usual heard the 1st hibs goal go in and walked through as killen scored the second. My photo was in the evening news head in hands. Velicka gave us hope when zibby did what zibby does and then miko got sent off and they thought they had won it. Velicka then scored the equaliser and the hearts end went mental. So many great memories there but this one although a draw felt like a win Edited August 5, 2022 by savage Sp Quote

DS98 Posted August 5, 2022 Posted August 5, 2022 I am in the minority as a jambo. Terrible record. Hate Easter Rd. Only been to 5 derbies there won 1 and lost 4. 6-2. 0-2 Nade, Glen. 1-0 Fletcher. 1-0 Game after 5-1. 3-1 Going on 6-1 under Cathro. Don’t really have an option on my favourite but hopefully after Sunday I will! Quote
Pasquale for King Posted August 5, 2022 Posted August 5, 2022 So many to choose from, maybe the 3 nil just after we nearly closed them down, lovely atmosphere that day. Really is hard to narrow it down though. Quote

Rudy T Posted August 5, 2022 Posted August 5, 2022 Mercer derby was epic but on reflection it should’ve been the one where we put double figures past them. Stevenson scoring out of nowhere was another joyous moment Stamp derby was insane at the end. Theres too many to mention really Quote

He had other moments too, not least his classic step-overs prior to setting up Hickey. Enjoy ... Ps ... I fell over at least 2 rows of seats ... it might've been me. 😁 Loved that one, was behind the goals on an aisle seat and was utter carnage, people falling down stairs folk falling over the seats, a female steward ended up on the deck head pointing down the stairway abd feet up the way getting trampled on, was actually quite scary, I was trying to hold folk back up the stairs to let her get back up, she was shaken up by it but seen her towards the end and she was ok just a bit sore, but what a game and atmosphere, brilliant 🇱🇻🇱🇻🇱🇻 Quote

Mark_Mywords Posted August 5, 2022 Posted August 5, 2022 The Mercer Derby for me. The poisonous seethe from them every time we scored made it so much more the sweeter. Walking up Easter road after the game singing the Hearts song and doing a mass twirly was tremendous. I'm not sure if my old brain is playing tricks with me or not, but was this the game where the fence gave way at the front and a lot of us piled onto the pitch as we were jammed in like sardines? This was at the end of the game. Quote
