Than central midfield bossed the game against Stoke the week before. The front 3 looked good and the formation worked extremely well.

 

Yes a pre-season game but the last prep before the league started.

Add in Devlin not 100%, Grant new and Beni out. 

 

Ross County also done well and I think wlll create problems for most teams. 

 

For me the most concerning thing was how much confusion a long punt causes us. 

It's been a theme for a while

Thank you for a sensible and measured response...although as you can imagine I wouldn't agree with some of it! When it comes to the Hearts I'm far from neutral and despite that this was a match that I very much enjoyed. Both teams played very well in spells, the result remained in doubt until the final whistle and Hearts won thanks to a good goal and a great goal, albeit we enjoyed some good fortune in the first half. Excitement, entertainment and the win - that'll do me! Doubtless sterner tests lie ahead but there was plenty to be taken from Saturday that suggest we may do well and that Robbie is the right man for the job.

I think a bit of that was certainly the case for the Ross Co goal.
