When I was nightshift in Wester Hailes in the late 90's, early 2000's, we used to go up to the gatehouse at Burtons factory on the Calder Road. They sold off the broken and misshapen biscuits in bulk. Mostly it was toffee pops or mint viscounts. 50p got you a brown paper bag like a pillow case stuffed full of calories. The toffee pops were the worst - pick one out and another five came with it all stuck together. You ended up eating them like crisps..... brutal..... Quote
