Looking to book a flight from San Francisco to vegas in September.

Anyone show me in the right direction to a good site to book this flight.

Normally just book through sky scanner but not sure if this is best for an internal American flight

I would just use sky scanner or google flights to find out which airlines fly the route and get a rough price, then just book direct with the airline.

Kiwi.com seem quite good and easy to use.

Skyscanner is fine for that. Gives you plenty options.

Drive it. I have, and it's great.

I’ve driven it the opposite direction and though it’s good it’s not exactly a short drive if you are on a schedule.

Last time I did something like this (not today nor yesterday) I booked directly with Southwest.  They have usually 3-4 direct SFO-LAS flights a day, flying time 90 minutes, one-way fares anywhere between $80 and $300 depending on when you want to go and what sort of ticket you want.

Did a fly drive 40 years ago, starting in Los Angeles. Down to Tijuana just to score Mexico off the list of countries been to. Then along the border through towns and cities in Arizona I'd only heard of in Westerns. Up to Las Vegas and then across to San Francisco over the Golden Gate bridge.

Tremendous memories.

I'd recommend hiring a car and driving. What an experience.

Provided you're not going with wife and 3 kids...

An experience you’ll never forget.

I rode the dug from Chicago to New York 3 years ago. Took 18 hours direct. I loved it! Fun. I passed through and set foot in 6 different states.

Absolute nightmare to deal with in the event of a cancellation
