Is that for definite? Brechin wanted lowland league but ended up in highland

Every Dunfermline fan I’ve ever met has been an utter ballsack, so on that basis it’s great to see them relegated 👍🏻

I pretty much just default to saying we hate every club except ICT and Patrick Thistle, it's hard to keep up at times:lol:

Brechin's north of Dundee though, must be an hour plus north of Dunfermline

Linlithgow Rose used to wear old kits supplied from Hearts. I’m not sure if someone told me that or I’ve completely made it up.

To go against the grain, working among many Pars and indeed Rovers fans, they are the same as us regarding Rivalry and petty hatred.

I have had decent conversations with workmates who are fans of both clubs and they have zero negativity towards us.

I was a gnats doodle from taking the Mrs to then game at EEP today...would have been her first Scottish football experience.

The Pars are currently punching well below their weight, hopefully, this changes soon.

My dad told me the same after I attended a Hibs/Arbroath Cup replay in 1977 with a mate and his dad.

He'd done the back shift on the buses that night and didn't know I'd gone. He wasn't best pleased the following morning but changed his mind when I told him that Arbroath had won 2-1.

Not sure if it was true but he was particularly chuffed that a team in "Hearts shirts" had won at ER and turfed them out.

He had a low opinion of the Hibby and his team. 😄

ICT as well surely, given Robbo's involvement.  Also we are responsible for their highest ever attendance, which is pretty impressive for a game played behind closed doors.

True true, yet they're a tribute to the Hearts at the end of the day.

Dundee Hibernian, Berwick the Rangers, Stalybridge Celtic - **** those guys!

But Kelty Hearts? Good guys!

Yes, but they are in the 3rd tier of teams that we hate.  I call this the 'schadenfreude-only' tier.

in this tier, we laugh at major failures like relegations and running out of cash etc.., but otherwise don't make any effort to find out what's happening at the club.

Other clubs in this tier are Ayr United, Clyde, Hamilton and Cowdenbeath.

Brechin is also 65Miles north of Cowdenbeath so I’d imagine they would be Lowland. Imagine them in the Highland league playing in fife 😂

I think we need a definitive JKB list, Smithee: good guys or J. Arthur Rank's.

That way we'll all know where we stand.

You've made a fine case for our Fife friends so, on behalf of us both, I'll nominate Kelty Hearts as one of the good guys.

All those in favour say aye. 😊

Dunfermline are a club who Hearts had a fund raising match for them when they hit the skids financially. Hearts took 3000 fans over to East End Park.

In return they voted us into the lower leagues.

So to sum up - YES, **** them and ha ha ha :)

I can't remember 😄 used to be one of my favourite away days. An ex of mine is married to a fan of theirs so that's as good as reason as any.

Used to be a good away game to go to. A club that’s been seriously mismanaged for years and had some real arseholes at the helm. Unless they come up with some “white knight” racing to the rescue or their fans get off their backsides I reckon they are heading into oblivion at a fast rate of knots.

I did not mind the Pars. But after the vote in which they also thought that they would make money from us back fired. Gone from one play off to the other. Still at least they have their falkirk derby. Karma is such a bitch it might as well have high heels on an a whip. I agree that i worked with a pars fan....total knob

Dunfermline in the 60s/70s was my local away day derby.  I was never taken by my dad to ER, although my uncle did.

The Kincardine Bridge derby is now restored.  Karma.

They voted to finish the season in the first vote. Their chairman then accused ICT of trying to bully other clubs over whatsapp.

Fearing a boycott of Hearts fans, they then voted with us in the second vote, knowing it was never going to go through.

So I guess it depends how bitter you are.

I'm almost past the point of caring about the vote (since Dundee and Hibs are getting their just desserts) but there's something slimy about changing your vote in an effort to try and coax money back out of the fanbase you're ****ing over. Down you go Dunfermline.

I suppose I am in the minority but I would rather have a resurgent Dunfermline in the top tier rather than West coast teams like St Mirren or Kilmarnock. I can recall the days when we used to play Hibs on the 1st January and then Dunfermline on the 2nd January. Some great celebratory times and I always felt we had a good relationship with the Pars. As others have alluded to they have been seriously mismanaged over the years similar to Falkirk which i believe has been to the detriment of the Scottish game . Sadly I cant see them regaining their former standing unless there was some form of reconstruction . They have a decent potential fan base but it now looks a long way back.

Citrus fruits such as lemons/limes are sour, not bitter. If you want bitter, think kale, spinach, silverbeet etc.

I think Inverness, Patrick, Stranraer and Kelty are the good guys.
Everyone in Premier are tier 1 hate and everyone else are tier 2 hate.

Used to go to quite a few home Pars games with my late father in law, crowds were decent back then. I was born in Dunfermline so always had bit a soft spot for them. Since the vote debacle I wish them nothing, I really could not give three flying..fs.

Partick, East F and ICT are the only teams outwith us that i will wish the best, the rest can smoke a jobbie.

Was always a great away day up there and fond memories of games when they had Leishmann and Paton in charge.

The Scottish game needs clubs like them to be in the top division.

But having said that, stupid vote led by a stupid chairman so they can rot in  the lower leagues for a while.

When my son asks who I want to win things like champions league finals and obscure foreign games I just tell him that if Hearts aren't playing I hope both teams lose.

Aye.

I don't watch the CL and, indeed, only just noticed that Rangers v. Dundee United is about to ko.

Won't be watching or listening to that either.

It really is all about Hearts.
