It was picked from a sports shop in Mexico and the kitman applied the badges (old design) himself. The shirt numbers were a batch designed for American football tops. A Mexican Sunday league football team could have been kicking about in the same kit. You have to be at least 40 to remember Maradona in his prime so you wonder how much value this will retain as time goes on and there are fewer and fewer people around who actually remember Maradona. Then again, when you see the sums being spent on NFTs and crypto perhaps £7.14 million is a bargain for what is unquestionably an iconic football top!
