Weakened Offender
Apologies if a thread already exists. The Nottingham Forest documentary on Netflix, brilliant watch. Really enjoyed listening to the players reliving an amazing football story.

Really enjoyed listening to the players reliving an amazing football story. Yes sir, I posted on this a while back. Arguably the greatest sporting documentary of all time thanks to two ingredients: (i) the story itself is a miracle and (ii) the soundtrack. For me, the highlight is when they introduce John Robertson to the narrative: 'couldn't tackle my granny' was his own assesment, whereas Archie Gemmill lays it out: 'but... left foot (bang!), right foot (bang!) genius'. Mister T
Great film. Brian Clough and his boys were the real deal. And the title track is ace.

Something like: What do I do with a direct free kick Boss? 'F*****g shoot!' What if its indirect Boss? F*****g pass it then f*****g shoot!' Always makes me laugh when I watch that bit.... That was Kenneth (not Kenny) Burns at his most eloquent. Loved it when he couldn't remember what marriage he was on when Cloughie signed him. Did he even get a yellow for this? Imagine it happening today. Edited April 12, 2022 by Deodato

dougal
Great documentary. Have recommended it to so many people. Also worth a watch is 89, the documentary about Arsenal's title win in 1989.
Les Izemore
Thanks to the OP for the recommendation. Watched it last night and really enjoyed it. I’d completely forgotten some of the players ie Kenny Burns, and how good was John Robertson at inside left.

SecN
Watched this over a couple of sessions yesterday and today. Enjoyable. I was only a nipper at the time but do recall some of it as it happened.
