Yep. But as usual, my wife rebuffed the offer.

Wife's are not always what they are cracked up to be.

Does 'rather quick' have anything to do with your erm... clock going forward, Harry?

The grammar police called and are keen to know what the missing plural noun is in the subject of your sentence.

As a big fan of the grammar police, I feel I have let myself down here.

I thought long and hard about that one too.

Only need to change my wristwatch. All the other clocks change automatically.

At least I've now got 6 months of right time in the car.

Hate this clock changing pish. Should scrap it, All the hassle of changing clocks and losing a hours sleep **** that

I'd agree with that. Put them forward in Spring, and leave it at that. An extra hour of daylight in the Winter, albeit with slightly darker mornings.

They've just voted in the US Senate to stop the changing of the clocks twice a year, and will move to Daylight Saving Time permanently from 2023, contingent on Biden signing it off.

I'd be happy if we did the same, it seems pointless nowadays and for the sake of an hour worth of daylight in the winter it's not worth it. It might have made sense back in 1916 when they brought it in, but modern lighting and availability of electricity (apart from the cost rises!) means it's not really required any longer.
