If we finish third we go into the Europa league, providing one of the top three win the Scottish Cup. If we win our play off round match we’d go into the group stage. If we lost we’d go into the groups of the Europa Conference league. However, if someone outside of the top 3 wins the Scottish cup they would take the Europa league spot. It means that it suits us for the Old Firm to have easy ties in the Cup this year. Obviously it would suit us more to win it ourselves, but it would be a sore one if we finished 3rd then Aberdeen, for example, won the Scottish cup. I also want to make sure that no other shitty team flukes the Scottish Cup and gets into a Euro group because they played 4 or 5 decent games in a season.
