Tazio Posted December 28, 2021 Posted December 28, 2021 And it’s all over. Very well played by Australia but woeful from England at the same time. A perfect storm. Quote

heartgarfunkel Posted December 28, 2021 Posted December 28, 2021 What a story Boland’s debut is! Love it. England absolutely hammered. Almost a disgrace that Jimmy never got another bowl on that pitch. Quote
NANOJAMBO Posted December 28, 2021 Posted December 28, 2021 Oz "got the rub of the green" and things not going England's way. Some weird comments from the BT pundits. Quote
ƒιѕнρℓαρѕ Posted December 28, 2021 Posted December 28, 2021 I learned enough about cricket to understand when England were getting pumped, they were brutal when I lived down there. I might actually watch some highlights, 6 wickets from 4 overs lol Quote
heartgarfunkel Posted December 28, 2021 Posted December 28, 2021 What a humble man Scott Boland is. Loved his interview. Quote

DETTY29 Posted December 28, 2021 Posted December 28, 2021 Leg-byes 3rd equal highest score @5. Skittled out for 68 and the best bowler in the world didn't take a single wicket. But was pretty close to one in most of the 10 overs he bowled. Quote

That was beyond Hibsed it. Silverwood has to go and Root isn't a captain. Possibly the worst ever performance in an Ashes match. I'd go so far as to say it negates Stokes test performance at Headingley. Edited December 28, 2021 by Malinga the Swinga Quote

redjambo Posted December 28, 2021 Posted December 28, 2021 I remember once the Aussies wound up England by suggesting that England were so bad at the time that they should look at changing the ashes test series to the best of 3, not the best of 5. On recent showings, it now looks like a sound proposition. Quote
DETTY29 Posted December 28, 2021 Posted December 28, 2021 Heroics by Anderson to get those 2 runs at the end meaning England equalled rather than broke their record 54 test ducks in a year. Quote

Andy Zaltzman BBC Test Match Special statistician The last 53 balls of that session went for no runs and cost three wickets. In 16.5 overs, England scored 23-4 and there were two dropped catches. _____________ Boland's last 2 sessions and he has 8 wickets for 7 runs.
