Tianjin Jambo
Just out of interest (with talk of Holloway etc). Who would earn the accolade of being the most successful English manager at a Scottish club? John Barnes? Graham Rix? Terry Butcher? Simon Stainrod? Tony Ford? Not much of a list that! Any others? Say What Again
Tony Mowbray
cosanostra
I suppose Mowbray or Butcher, neither of whom really achieved anything. Not a great track record to be honest.
Salvatori5
Just out of interest (with talk of Holloway etc). Who would earn the accolade of being the most successful English manager at a Scottish club? QUOTE] The list of recently successful English managers in England is equally as short! Harry Redknapp bout the only one of note!
spud
Interestingly, since inception in 1992 no English manager has ever won the premiership. Well I think its interesting.

Tazio
Howard Wilkinson has. Has he? I'm pretty sure that he won the old 1st Division.
Paolo
You could be right then - maybe the last '1st Division'
Drylaw Hearts
Has he? I'm pretty sure that he won the old 1st Division. IIRC he won the last ever 'old' First Division. Only 2 Scots and 2 Foreigners have won the EPL.
Tazio
You could be right then - maybe the last '1st Division' Certainly the last Englishman to win the top league. Definitely not the EPL though. Only 4 clubs have won it and Leeds sure as hell aren't one of them.
kiltedjedi
Interestingly, since inception in 1992 no English manager has ever won the premiership. Well I think its interesting. Especially when you look at the nationalities of the managers who have Scottish 2 - Dalgliesh and Ferguson French 1 - Wenger Portugese 1 - Mourinho Can't think of any other teams outside Manu, Chelsea, Arsenal and Blackburn who have won the EPL I think Keegan is probably the only Englishman who has actually come close.
