wattie exploited Posted August 29, 2021 Posted August 29, 2021 Aidy White: just signed a 2 year deal with Rochdale good luck to him didnt think he was that great for hearts to be honest Quote
1971fozzy Posted August 29, 2021 Posted August 29, 2021 He wasn’t. Tried hard enough so certainly could not criticise his commitment but just never impressed. A typical Levein signing. Good luck to him Quote

Georgecowie Posted August 30, 2021 Posted August 30, 2021 Watched him in a reserve game v United in st andrews and he played down the left with Henderson ahead of him. The shift he put in and the encouragement and advice he gave to hendo were impressive. Hope he has a good spell with Rochdale. Quote
upgotheheads Posted August 30, 2021 Posted August 30, 2021 A good player who never got back to the fitness required at the top level. Quote
Skacelsid Posted August 30, 2021 Posted August 30, 2021 Hopefully injury free rest of his career, all the best. Quote
Zen Jambo Posted August 30, 2021 Posted August 30, 2021 Watched him on the first game of season. Was terrible. Quote
A_A wehatethehibs Posted August 30, 2021 Posted August 30, 2021 A shame he could not get back to top level fitness. Just was never there for him. He did win that penalty against Hibs clogger defender tho, so will choose to remember him for his contribution to that memorable result. One I’ll remember for a long time that cheered us up in the lockdown. If only we could’ve got our hands on that cup. Hope he gets 100 games for Rochdale and enjoys his football, all the best. Quote

Absolute Scenes Posted August 30, 2021 Posted August 30, 2021 Thank you endless times for the penalty against the jibblies Quote

Was always in a catch 22 situation after being out injured for so long, didn't have the fitness to play 4/5 games on the bounce but really needed to play regularly to get back to full fitness. He spoke at my plot ceremony and came across really well, wasn't happy to sit and pick up a wage, wanted to get back to his levels at leeds that seen him play internationally. All the best for the future Aidy! Quote
Nobreath Posted August 30, 2021 Posted August 30, 2021 Wasn't great but always gave 100%, for that he has my absolute respect. Quote
Bungalow Bill Posted August 30, 2021 Posted August 30, 2021 A strange signing at any other club but us. Hadn’t played in years when we signed him. Quote

A special singing by CL and JM - their scouting shortlist must consist of injured players who no one else takes risks on BAR us. Quote
Regal Kingston Posted August 30, 2021 Posted August 30, 2021 He will always be remembered for winning a penalty v Hibs in a semi final that got us to the final. The general poor performances will be forgotten in time. All the best and hope he stays injury free. Quote
Kirky Jambo Posted August 30, 2021 Posted August 30, 2021 Good luck to him. Not of the standard required for Hearts, but I’ll remember him for the pen v Hibs and when he rinsed Ajer in the lead up to Boyce goal in the final. Quote

Lord Beni of Gorgie Posted August 30, 2021 Posted August 30, 2021 Won the pen in the semi. Some sort of positive contribution to take. Quote

droid Posted August 30, 2021 Posted August 30, 2021 Looked better as a winger than a left back. That's my tuppence Quote
skinnybob72 Posted August 30, 2021 Posted August 30, 2021 You couldn't fault his commitment and that's not something you can say about a lot of our signings in recent times. Sadly wasn't to be but best wishes to the guy, hopefully he can stay free of injury for the rest of his career. Quote
Ex member of the SaS Posted August 30, 2021 Posted August 30, 2021 As with many players that don't make it I think he suffered from the manager's tactics. If the team doesn't play to his skill set then they look poor and don't get as many games as they would if the team played to his strengths. TBF he was a tryer and didn't shirk or hide. I suppose he could be described as poor but I do think there was a decent squad player in there given the right circumstances. Quote
Guest ToqueJambo Posted August 30, 2021 Posted August 30, 2021 The kind of punt worth taking when your squad is otherwise very strong, not when your squad is filled with punts. Quote
Savage Vince Posted August 30, 2021 Posted August 30, 2021 Won a penalty that saw us pap the favourites (giggles) out of last years semi final. Good luck fella. 👍 Quote
Aaron78 Posted August 30, 2021 Posted August 30, 2021 Good luck to him. An honest pro who always gave his all in a maroon Jersey. Quote

frankblack Posted August 31, 2021 Posted August 31, 2021 Looks like the injury setbacks have limited his career. No ill wishes to the guy who always tried his best, but we needed better. Quote
