schillaci
Two bits to this: Firstly, and obviously, he is competent and experienced, making very few mistakes and occasionally doing the exceptional. Secondly, he has given a confidence to the back line, which itself is better than it has been. He has the same aura as an exceptional striker: the opposition must give him respect and will often just fear his presence between the sticks. Will Gordon/the national team need to isolate when they get back? I don't know why I do this to myself but i've given myself the fear thinking about somebody in the squad testing positive after the Austria game and the rest of them having to quarantine and we end up without CG for the Derby 🤮 Ignore me, just the anxiety talking. But I am just generally curious as to the travel rules for these international fixtures. Dreadful thought that has popped up in my usually optimistic thinking. Newton51
Scotland playing away, home and then away again so no issue with quarantining. Denmark and Austria both on green list

TexasAndy
In previous debates I have always named Cruickie our best ever keeper. Craig Gordon was always 2nd in my thinking but what he is now producing at his age after all the injury problems he has had has now propelled him to undisputed best ever IMO

Gordon then Niemi and possibly Rousset third, but first two are some distance ahead. Edited August 30, 2021 by frankblack

Might have nabbed a point at St Mirren. Not a reflection on the current squad. A reflection on how useless and costly that clown was. A good keeper is as valuable as a good striker. There is no shame in your keeper being worth between 10 and 15 points a season. It’s just good recruitment. Folk would be shooting on sight. Defence would have no confidence and would be a shambles.
Jambo 4 Ever
I remember getting stick on here, from the usual crowd, when I suggest a year or 2 ago that we should sign him back how wrong they were!
upgotheheads
At best we'd have got a draw aginst Celtic, -2. Probably a win against St. Mirren. Probably a draw against the sheep. Probably a draw agianst Dundee Udt, -2. =6pts By my reckoning that would have put us in eighth place.
