If you download a VPN and set it to the US the coverage on the masters website (mobile app also works) shits all over skysports 👍

Vpnify is a good, free and easy to use VPN for android 👍

This always gets a good turnout. Lyle shows up, gives out some prizes, gives folk tips & advice. Nice guy & very down to earth.

Another pick up story from the SAS championship. Picked Sandy up at the airport (not private jet like Langer) and I'd texted him to say where I was. Next thing I get a call from the office saying he's called and complained as no-one had turned up so I head to the terminal to get him. Long story short, he'd been giving out his old mobile number for a while and I got  message from the "owner" of the number saying Sandy owned her dinner for the amount of messages she was getting! He had no idea about all the missed messages and hadn't figured out why people he had contacted hasn't been in touch!

Seen similar comments re De Chambeau before he won his US Open

What, drive, rough, green and repeat? USGA were caught with their scants below their calf's, Brysons won his one and only...

Tough scoring day

Normally expect a 67 at least in the 1st round

I really think there should be some sort of age limit or score average for the last few years involved with past champions, guys like Lyle/Faldo/Woosnam/Olazabal aren’t playing at a good enough level to be a taking a younger guys place. Langer on the other hand is the exception.

Eh Woosnam finished in 76 - Rory +4 after 17😂

Hope the coverage isn't going to be a Westwood love-in.

Dougherty is creaming himself already at the thought of him winning the green jacket

Relax ain't happening:thumbsup:

67 is par according to DeChambeau last year.

They still managed to send feckin Eilidh Barbour over.

What a feckin waste of the licence payers money that is.

She'll be in the studio in Salford

That was a decent round no doubt about that, Langer with a 74. It will be interesting to see if they make the cut with the weather turning bad tomorrow.

Love the fact that out of the few people on the course the one that McIlroy managed to hit with a shot was his dad!

Bryson 10 over par.

I posted on a thread on the BBC Facebook page about him that you need to be an artist not a scientist to win the Masters. It’s not a course that rewards being crazy adventurous in the first couple of rounds.

Crazy on 15 for Lowry - chipping from behind the green, on to the green and in to the water. Ball just kept going and going

Don't think Rose will be withdrawing this week unlike Bay Hill a few weeks back  when he put 3 balls in the water for a quintuple bogey 9

Never understood why broadcasters other than interviewers are required to go to these tournaments, they literally just sit and watch same video stream as viewers, hopefully this becomes permanent for sporting events, football world cups and euros are the same, BBC sending an army of people out to Brazil or wherever to sit in a studio and watch same screen that they would have back in the UK

Rose absolutely smashing it.

80/1 before a ball was hit backed out of backing him and opted for Cameron Smith 😕

Definitely, they could then spend the money and get more coverage of the event.

Justin Rose is a rock solid golfer on form and I doubt he will deviate from that level over the next three rounds, much like DJ did last year. Long way to go though.

Nice to see the Scottish lads doing OK.

More a south sider I think 😆

The Braids, then?

Seriously, I didn't know he'd based himself in Embra. I thought he was living in the posh area outside Newcastle where all the footballers live. Name on the tip of my tongue but I keep on thinking of Alderley Edge - the equivalent place near Manchester.

Amazing run from Rose there, hope he keeps it up.

Same.

Rose has been a favourite of mine ever since he finished 4th in The Open as an amateur. He's always come across as a decent guy.

I heard him swear loudly off the tee at the Open once, that’s my kind of guy. Swing looks a bit shorter but really good.

Braids driving range anyway, not sure why he moved up here.

Thank he used to stay in Ravelston area as his ex wife and kids stay (ed) out at Archerfield I think so he moved to be closer the kids. His insta during lockdown had him down near Close House near Newcastle so maybe he's moved. Or he could have houses in both places.

That's what I like to hear. It's one of my favourite bits of golf; the imagination with colourful language. Before playing golf, I had no idea that someone's mother's flaps could be ***ked off.
