Does anyone remember this headline ?  (words maybe not exact ...)

I'm trying to find out ... can't remember when - think it was either the Scotsman or the Evening News.

Belter, obviously .. would love if someone has it.

The problem is there have been that many.

Likely to be either the 4-1 NY win in 1991 or 4-0 in '97.

"Festive" wins in the last 35+ years:

1/1/1985 Hibs 1 Hearts 2

1/1/1986 Hearts 3 Hibs 1

1/1/1990 Hearts 2 Hibs 0

2/1/1991 Hibs 1 Hearts 4

1/1/1997 Hibs 0 Hearts 4

*2/1/2003 Hearts 4 Hibs 4

26/12/2006 Hearts 3 Hibs 2

1/1/2011 Hearts 1 Hibs 0

2/1/2012 Hibs 1 Hearts 3

28/12/2018 Hibs 0 Hearts 1

* not a win but felt like it. Certainly knocked the stuffing out of that shower. 😁

I like your thinking - and research so far. I think it was the 4-0 therefore 1/1/97 ... cos 4-0 was in my mind.

Right ... don't think the Scotsman / EEN archives are available for that period but gives me something to look for.

Hearts spoil Jim Duffy's managerial debut with Hibernian.

Not the best footage.

On the B side of the Marshall’s the chunky chicken champions single-

first of January 85 - Gary’s in the box with a left foot drive - number two from Sandy Clark - we are the Gorgie Jam Tarts

first of January 86 - Ian slams one between the sticks - Robbo two then Sandy Clark - we are the Gorgie Jam Tarts

😂

Leighton was highly regarded till he moved to Hibs, The majority of Cameron's goals were outstanding, a genius.
