Zodiac killer code cracked

Three guys have cracked one of his codes - it’s an interesting watch for anyone who is interested:

Unfortunately it does not give any further clues to who the killer is/was, but I believe they are working on the two remaining codes and hope that it may contain more clues.

Hopefully in time, if solved, it will give the victims and their families some closure, is not justice itself.

The article I read said they were pretty confident his name was in one of the other notes but it appears the cypher he used changed between notes.

Interesting. They put the "Life is" in the wrong place though, imo. It should go right at the end and reversed so that the last bit reads "I know that my new life will be an easy one in paradice. Death is Life."

Just an additional thought. They should look at the transposed line (well, almost a line) for a clue to the name of the killer (possibly using the same characters with a different key). It would make sense that it could hide his/her real signature.

Arthur Leigh Allen always seemed the most likely suspect.

The handwriting expert didn't think so and there were no DNA matches on the letters.

Details which are obviously imperative to conviction. It’s the other details that always interested me, and is the main source of speculation.
If you read up on him I would say it’s overwhelming, evidence aside.

Aye, I read up on him after watching the movie, which was excellent. There was a lot pointing towards him being the killer.

They still don't know who done it though, do they?

No, well, not conclusively anyway.

Allen is the main suspect I believe.

Aye, that was the big guy in the film with the zodiac watch. They always suspected him but never managed to charge him.

  • 9 months later...

I'm sure I read that they identified who it was months ago and  aged him. Not sure why it's all coming out again now.

I do kind of think its no wonder this Poste guy got away with it, if it was him, because the artist's impression of the suspect looks nothing like him 🤣

Their ‘evidence’ seems flimsy at best.

That video is really interesting though even if/though the FBI agree there is a lot of stretching to make what it reads suit their want. Ie we believe we are right and the bloke what wrote it got it wrong. Maybe someone with a more knowledge can explain why they make so many assumptions and jumps to reach their wording and its accepted?
