Cade
Alok Sharma announces an inquiry into the Green family's running of Arcadia. A few hours later, Lady Green announces she's paying £50million into the empty pension fund. Snakes.

A few hours later, Lady Green announces she's paying £50million into the empty pension fund. Snakes. Not quite the whole story. Lady Green had agreed to pay £100m into the pension fund, this was the deal she struck with the pension regulator last year, and it was to be paid in three instalments, she has already paid two instalments of £25m each and the final instalment of £50m was due to be paid in September next year, she has decided to pay that final instalment early. https://www.eveningexpress.co.uk/news/uk/lady-tina-green-to-pay-50m-early-into-arcadia-pension-scheme-amid-shortfall/ Is it just a coincidence that Lady Green pays the final instalment early, probably not, it's probably got more to do with the fact that there is still about a £350m deficit in the Arcadia pension fund, however as Lady Green has now paid all of her dues under the deal made with the pensions regulator then there is probably very little anybody can now do to make the Green's pay more into it, however if they had waited until September next year then there would have been a lot of pressure for them to pay more into the pension fund, by paying the final instalment now, they can just walk away and there is virtually nothing anybody can do about it. Your right about them being snakes though. Edited December 2, 2020 by Jambo-Jimbo

A Boy Named Crow
I am probably reading too much into it, but the other day Radio 4 had a piece on the collapse of Arcadia, immediately followed by an unrelated piece on pension fraud. Editorial subtlety, or pure coincidence?
