I suppose a job is a job and Sky obviously don't want him.

Is he not on BT Sport and the BBC? Surely he can't be working for the BBC while employed at such a disgusting and vile institution.

Is he done with the BBC now then? Can't imagine being employed by Celtic TV is compatible with impartial analysis on Sportscene.

Not a shock though is it, he seems driven by a combination of cash and ego.

I was wondering what happened with the BBC. He was suspended a while back for his Rangers comments but that was overturned I'm sure, although, he's been very quiet since.

He was but he came back on eventually I think.

Be glad we're not going to be forced into his views with any regularity, it seems.

This is true and also a silver lining.

That's exactly why Celtic want him.

Doubt he has a mortgage, does not need the money, must be bored in house and limited options

I assume he's still aggrieved at being punted for a while with the Traynor issue.

Find it strange to give up BT (would they not use him for non Scottish football?), Sportscene and BBC Radio for effectively tainting any impartiality in future as a pundit?

Is the money really that much better at Celtic TV and as a non Celtic fan, why would you want to focus entirely on their games?

I sort of respect Celtic TV for getting a non Celtic fan in and lessening the cringeworthy bias you often get with in house TV, but from his point of view a bizarre decision that reduces his credibility in Scottish football.

Of course, he may have shat it, now that Levein is a semi regular on Sportsound...

Do BT still have Scottish football?

He is a bit of an erse but apart from English, is there any better pundits in Scotland?

No but no reason why like Sutton,  he couldn't be used for non Scottish football. Not always been his biggest fan but he's far better (and cheaper) than Owen or Savage

He's actually a decent pundit outwith his trigger topic of CL.

Once triggered he's a gibbering, emotional slaver grenade launching mess tho, should be safe on tic TV .

I'd be amazed if he still has a mortgage.

He will be paid by the same company that pays him for being on BT Sports.

Scary thing is Celtic will have a better pundit line up then the main stream channels.

Stewart and Sutton trading verbal blows can be quite entertaining in a cringing way.

The guy played for hibs for 2 years too.  He ll go wherever.

Having tuned into Celtic TV via a steam before, I can tell you it is disgusting.

They were thrashing us 5-0 but still complaining about a stonewall booking coming their way.   "wish decisions were consistent....".

Cringe

They'll be singing from the same hymn sheet with it being a club channel.

Wrong. He may not like Levein but he was spot on in his assessment of him and the way his teams played.

Good point, but playing for them to maximise your professional playing career and taking a gig commenting on their games is slightly different, but I suppose a job is a job.

Him and Sutton will be decent as well and fair foos to celtic for getting a pundit that is a little neutral.

Could have been any from  walker/ sutton/ Bonnar/ commons / Nicholas chug fest, Stewart is a bit indifferent to celtic, but he does hate the rangers so he's not that big a punt in that regard.

No, it was the posters on here that couldn't accept the truth about Levein that turned into what you describe.

My view on Stewart has gone from like to dislike and back a few times. It’ll be staying on dislike forever now. Feel a bit betrayed tbh, even though I know that’s not rational.

Unusual move.

a) Catholic

b) Irish heritage

c) Celtic supporter

d) Former Celtic player...

MS "tic's" non of these boxes.

Is this Celtic's Mo Johnston to Rangers moment? 😱

Love to see them engage levein as well.😂😂😂❤❤❤

Couldn't care less.

Hope Levein pushes into the media, Pressley too. Both offered good insight when interviewed lately.

I actually didn’t mind him as a pundit, thought he spoke sense most of the time. However, unfortunately he couldn’t put aside his dislike of Levein to comment on Hearts with any degree of impartiality.

Given that I have been jobless before I'm entitled to make that comment.

You should try not to assume the answer to something you don't know 👍
