andrew Posted July 3, 2008 Posted July 3, 2008 3 guys go into a shop to buy a tv with ?10 each. So they take their ?30 to buy it only to find that it's been reduced to ?25. The shop owner takes the money and gives each guy ?1 each change and keeps the remaining ?2 from the fiver for himself. But......if each of the 3 guys get ?1 change it means they only paid ?9 each - 3 times ?9 is ?27 and the shop owner was left with ?2 (which makes ?29) so where did the other ?1 go? Night
Sheriff Fatman Posted July 3, 2008 Posted July 3, 2008 It's not a riddle, it is a case of either adding up correctly or adding up incorrectly.
SupaJT Posted July 3, 2008 Posted July 3, 2008 The shopkeeper actually ends up with ?27 ? the ?25 for the TV and ?2 extra. The three men end up with ?1 each. 27 + 3 = 30 What do I win? I had to think about that for ages though, well done
