What’s wrong with him?  Must be very serious.

Posted

Hope it's nothing serious and he recovers.

The cynicist in me says, it's a very convenient time for this to happen though.

He might be fine by Wednesday afternoon.

Sounds dodgy as timing wise, especially with who his replacement is.

Not a fan of the man in any shape of form, but hope he recovers soon.

I know it sounds dodgy mate but why would his replacement make any difference?

I’ve not got much, if any, time for the guy. I feel he’s always had a chip on his shoulder about Hearts, and, as far as I can see, hasn’t done us any favours of note. Would not expect favours from a Hibs man, but I just think he would do us harm, just for the hell of it. Might be wrong, but that’s the impression I get.

That said, I’m not one to wish poor health on anyone, so I hope he makes a speedy recovery from whatever has befallen him, and that it’s nothing too serious.

Can't stand him or anything he stands for.

Couldn't find it in myself to wish him ill health though.

Covid related?

Regardless, best wishes.

Rudi Skacel still scunners him

On a serious note wouldn't wish him bad health.

Why so much contempt for Petrie? Provided many great memories over the years, and gave me the best day of my life following Hearts.

Get well soon Rod.

Always comes to the Remembrance service and shows respect. Get well soon.

Mike Mulraney isn't a 'replacement'. He's in with the bricks at the SFA already.

Get well soon Rod.

Yes

That is to his credit. He could send somebody else but makes a point of coming himself.

Until after the court case 🤣 How convenient given it would be hard for the SFA to give the impression of being an independent arbitrator with him at the helm if the SPFL get their way.

No seriously, get well soon you angry ******* and return to give us many more laughs.

I don't wish any ill health on the guy, so all the best Rod.

My first thought also. I wish him a speedy recovery.

Wouldn’t wish I’ll health on anybody but if Hearts went bankrupt and Tynie burnt down, the Tache would be cracking the champagne.

Given all that is going on with us just now I think it shows the class act we are that everyone on this thread is wishing Petrie well.

Get well soon Rod.

I'm not one for wishing bad health on someone but does he really deserve a thread on JKB wishing him all the best?

Is there normally a free buffet afterwards? He normally goes through them faster than prunes through your Granny. Looks like a walrus hoovering the seabed for clams

Get well soon Rod.

As things stand Alloa is in the same league as us. He would be expecting the Jambo ££

Anyone involved in football, regardless of club allegiance, whom, in times of ill health, deserve a thread on here wishing him/her all the very best best in their recovery.

The vast majority of people on here are very decent and respectful,

Unfortunately, there is always the exception to the rule.

What when games are behind closed doors and it’s half a season and we’ve already said definitely to boycotting?  Alloa won’t give a **** if we’re in the league and the SFA have no influence regardless.

Petrie won’t be back at the SFA any time soon.

Yes he’s a great bloke and Hibs have always done their best to backup Hearts when we have faced problems like being relegated and administration. He was clearly correct when he said we cheated financially to win the cup.

Don't wish him any ill will but can't get all PC wishing him well either. The timing of this is very odd and what's with the temporary bit? He either stands down or takes a leave of absence. There is far more to this than meets the eye.

This absolutely stinks. Why would they announce he is “temporarily standing down”? Surely the announcement is that Rod is unwell and hopes to return once recovered? The timing of this and the fact he has temporarily stood down when there was no requirement for him to do so makes me think there is more to this than meets the eye.

I also would not wish unwell upon the man. He gave hearts a lot to celebrate with his poor football club. Hearts legend if anything 😂
