Tazio
I was going to put this in the what was the last film you watched but it doesn’t fit in there really. I’ve had this on my to watch list on Netflix for ages but only just got around to watching it. Sturgill Simpson is a pretty well known country singer and guitarist but this is totally different to anything he’s done before. For a start it’s not country, pretty full on rock and a slower Pink Floyd type song in the middle. But the real biggie is that they got top Japanese Anime directors to make video sequences for each song on a loosely linked theme. The whole thing is a fantastic way to kill 40 minutes or so. Especially if you have a decent sound set up for your telly, though my neighbours might disagree right now. oh and if you watch it don’t switch off when the credits role as there is a whole number after them that is sonically fantastic and ties up the story. Recommended if you like that type of thing.
