Gutted to hear that. DJed with him a few times and he was an absolute gent with an encyclopaedic knowledge, and more importantly, a love of music. RIP Andy

Loved a lot of the indie dance crossovers from late 80s and 90’s and Andy Weatherall was one of the main DJs along with Paul Oakenfield.

Gutted. Such a talent and a big part of a scene that was so influential.

Very sad. 56... ☹️

Weatherall’s work on Screamadelica was outrageous.

56 is no age.

As well as his remix work, some great music in his own right.

Loved this Two Lone Swordsmen song with a killer bassline. Sure I heard this was a big influence on Sleaford Mods.

saw him at STRUTT,a sunday night pub venue night on the Grays Inn Road, south of Kings Cross ,London in the early 90s.
Last saw him walking along in front of Shoreditch Town Hall early 00`s in rather natty attire.
Rest in peace Sir.
