Weird announcement just before kickoff tonight,I guess we’ll have a new kit sponsor or stadium naming rights coming soon?

What was the announcement?

Erdogan? 🤪

He was at the NATO meeting in Watford. He probably came Easyjet from Luton.

Just that we extend a warm welcome to a very special guest from Turkish Airlines

Clearly, the obvious assumption is that Stendel arrived yesterday via a Turkish airlines flight. Think it’s as sensible as that. Why he was in Turkey is a mystery though.

Don’t think so as they mentioned a name and it wasn’t Stendel.

Exactly. He would have to fly via Istanbul to get a Turkish flight to Edinburgh. 🤷🏼‍♂️

I don't think turkish airlines fly exclusively to turkey.

Their only route in/out of Edinburgh is Istanbul. I think that’s in Turkey.

Just checked. Yes.

Would you like to guess the 5 destinations...?

🙂

Munich, Frankfurt, Berlin, Hamburg and Barnsley?  🤔

Frankfurt. Where's he's from. Dunno if his family still live there though.

Barnsley sadly not. Dusseldorf.

Is not a different Frankfurt? His is in the East.

Indeed.

Ryanair don't go to Ryan's house either.

They say they do,  but they land at a house 50 miles away

Probably trying to arrange cheap flights to Turkey for the squad to train in the sunshine during the winter break

Was there not a rumour a couple of years ago that they were going to sponsor the stadium?

I did notice that they were the sponsors of one of the teams in the Copa Libertadores final

There was a guy sat between budge and her husband last night. I'm presuming it was him. There was talk before of either shirt sponsorship or stadium so I'd imagine it will be that

We had a similar announcement a few years ago, it was an Arab who was given a warm welcome.

Scott Crabbe at the time maybe?

I seem to recall a few years back the club called a press conference one morning prompting much speculation about what was going to happen. At said press conference the club then announced that the team would be flying to Prague (I assume) with Czech Airlines. Not quite the scale of announcement that was expected.

Levein has left us with a squad of Turkeys.

And McPhee’s tactics are gobble-dygook.

::troll::

I actually got told of investment in a text a couple of days ago. I wonder if this is the gradual build up to the announcement?
