Surely you aren’t thinking she’s going to be appointing Walter Smith. No chance the man is retired for starters. Surely just maybe getting advice on managers

He's 72 in February, he's not a good candidate

Seriously though, she may be getting his opinion on David Moyes...

Ally could maybe give Craig some gardening tips.

No he is not.

He is only good with money.   He got found out in England, when he almost got Everton relegated.

Failed in his Scotland objective too.

Anyway, does he not still have a role at Rangers.

Not sure I'd be relying on Sir Alex Ferguson to pick our next manager - although I'd be happy enough with Moyes at Hearts!

Would assume she was looking for some advice on appointing a new manager.
I would look at this positively. Any help from anywhere on appointing a new manager should be welcome.

JJ was a guest of the Board yesterday and spoke in the Gorgie Suite before heading to the Director's pre-match reception

She can seek advice from both of them, and maybe JJ as well.

Walter Smith has business interests in Rose Street , Ann Budge likes a glass of wine . Simples .

That explains how CL got the gig then. She needs to stay sober for the choice this time around 😉

Walter Smith and SAF are good mates also. Walter Smith has achieved a great deal in football if Ann Budge is speaking to the likes of Smith then I have hope we will get the right man.

Chatted to Walter Smith a few years ago and he had a soft spot for Hearts and grew up a Dundee Utd fan. He was a proper Rangers during and after his involvement with them though.

He would have had the traditional lobotomy done.

Well he was talking about them. Maybe the years after that then. He did seem keen on Dundee Utd and Hearts. I was also pretty reeking at the time as well however I feel my memory of that convo is legit! He did come across as a really good guy though.
