All roads lead to Gorgie

The Guildford Arms. West Registrar Street.

Abbotsford. Rose Street.

Bow Bar. Victoria Street.

All serve a good range of IPAs and Porters.

The Guildford is in West Register St and not Registrar St. Blame the phone again.

Definitely second the Guildford Arms. Can't get much better location-wise either, about a two minute walk from Waverley. If you want to walk a bit farther and beer selection is your primary aim, try Six Degrees North on Howe Street.

They have a couple pints available 👀

Need to check this one out the next time I'm up in town for a beer: I've liked the Six Degrees beers I've tried so far. Is it all keg, or do they do cask beers there as well?

Each time I've been in they've had a few cask ales. They have some really offbeat ones and lots of guest beers at any given time as well.

Great place for beer, takes about 15 mins to read all the ones available and make a choice!

In town tonight and looking for a few pubs that are doing decent IPA and porters, city centre preferred

thanks in advance

Teuchters on William Street is decent for beer if you’re looking for somewhere that feels a bit more like a local boozer - also has a good choice of whisky.

It might be a bit out your way but certainly close to Haymarket station

Budgie's Boyfriend

Please note that most of the pubs mentioned are boring as feck ,good beer and entertainment don't seem to go in Edinburgh for some reason
