Napoli down from 2/1 to 19/10

Good value surely? I fancy them to beat the Scouse.

Wouldn’t fancy being a Liverpool fan in Naples.

Aye, fair point.

At least the Naples cleansing dept. won’t have to empty the buckets tomorrow morning.

More an Everton thing really. Their mob is called themselves the country road cutters for a reason.

Is it not the County Road Cutters, but anyway, they're both as scummy as each other.

Tough start for Liverpool but they can get a result tonight

They should get through the group stages but then again that was the story last season and only made it through very late on

Chelsea even under the current circumstances have a good chance of getting through the group stages but the teams in that group are more equal than most

The money is on again this season but the odds are half of 2018/19  ☹️

Severe lack of goals in the TV games in the OP

Been a good atmosphere in the Dortmund game though

Only 3 out of the 12 teams have scored in the first half, what a load of pish!

Napoli Liverpool game is entertaining enough even without many clear opportunities. Both good to watch on the ball.

Is there a reason for bottom tier being empty. Are fans barred from that area.

English League 1 know how to do it, 15 of the 22 teams have scored.

Dortmund penalty saved but keeper was miles off his line, no VAR review though

Never a penalty but those strange VAR rules mean penalty decision stands and 1-0 Napoli

To me it defeats the object

Nevermind if it stays the same they'll be dancing in the streets of Napoli tonight.

To me it should be used to correct a wrong decision but the rules talk about obvious error so the ref can be wrong in his decision but it won't be overturned

Unlike offside which is more or less a decision of fact a tackle is usually opinion based and gives them a get out clause to protect their buddies

Those are the rules but they are poor rules

I think it's quite the norm at Napoli, the bottom tier provides a poor view although there are a scattering of fans.

On going talks about a full stadium redevelopment there.

Tough night for Liverpool, let’s see how they bounce back from that.

There's something mesmerising about the way Napoli play. I don't know what it is. It looks like they are only half trying at times but seems to keep hold of the ball.

Looked a pen to me. Clumsy challenge. Anyway unlikely to cause any bother.

February the fun starts once we get over 3 months of posturing

Agreed on that.

There were probably four angles that it looked like a penalty, so you can understand the ref giving it. However, there was one angle that showed that it was a dive with the Napoli player initiating the contact.

It was a "clear and obvious error" as the dive was missed by the referee and should have been corrected by VAR.

If you stick with the "can understand why the ref gave the decision" thought process as not being a clear and obvious error, then there will be a lot of wrong decisions that will be allowed to stand.

The absence of a retake of the Dortmund penalty was equally baffling.

So basically the same result as last year for Liverpool.

No 7 is on.

Thought it looked like a stonewall penalty.Second goal was shocking defending.

Still looks like an easy group so there should be no problem in qualifying.

Debatable penalty but hardly Edouard-esque. Good assist from Van Dijk for the clincher, tho! 😀

The thing about the Napoli penalty (cheating) is that is the sort of thing Mo Salah does.

So fair play.
