smiler Posted September 17, 2019 Posted September 17, 2019 Napoli down from 2/1 to 19/10 Good value surely? I fancy them to beat the Scouse. Quote

CJGJ Posted September 17, 2019 Posted September 17, 2019 (edited) Tough start for Liverpool but they can get a result tonight They should get through the group stages but then again that was the story last season and only made it through very late on Chelsea even under the current circumstances have a good chance of getting through the group stages but the teams in that group are more equal than most The money is on again this season but the odds are half of 2018/19 ☹️ Edited September 17, 2019 by CJGJ Quote

AlphonseCapone Posted September 17, 2019 Posted September 17, 2019 Napoli Liverpool game is entertaining enough even without many clear opportunities. Both good to watch on the ball. Quote

kila Posted September 17, 2019 Author Posted September 17, 2019 Dortmund penalty saved but keeper was miles off his line, no VAR review though Quote
CJGJ Posted September 17, 2019 Posted September 17, 2019 Never a penalty but those strange VAR rules mean penalty decision stands and 1-0 Napoli Quote

I think it's quite the norm at Napoli, the bottom tier provides a poor view although there are a scattering of fans. On going talks about a full stadium redevelopment there. Quote
CloustonHMFC Posted September 17, 2019 Posted September 17, 2019 Tough night for Liverpool, let’s see how they bounce back from that. Quote
AlphonseCapone Posted September 17, 2019 Posted September 17, 2019 There's something mesmerising about the way Napoli play. I don't know what it is. It looks like they are only half trying at times but seems to keep hold of the ball. Quote
Lord Beni of Gorgie Posted September 17, 2019 Posted September 17, 2019 Looked a pen to me. Clumsy challenge. Anyway unlikely to cause any bother. February the fun starts once we get over 3 months of posturing Quote

There were probably four angles that it looked like a penalty, so you can understand the ref giving it. However, there was one angle that showed that it was a dive with the Napoli player initiating the contact. It was a "clear and obvious error" as the dive was missed by the referee and should have been corrected by VAR. If you stick with the "can understand why the ref gave the decision" thought process as not being a clear and obvious error, then there will be a lot of wrong decisions that will be allowed to stand. The absence of a retake of the Dortmund penalty was equally baffling. Quote
Mikey1874 Posted September 17, 2019 Posted September 17, 2019 So basically the same result as last year for Liverpool. No 7 is on. Quote
benny Posted September 17, 2019 Posted September 17, 2019 Thought it looked like a stonewall penalty.Second goal was shocking defending. Still looks like an easy group so there should be no problem in qualifying. Quote
