Heard earlier today, waited until got confirmation all his family and closest friends have now been informed, unfortunately he has passed. RIP Bobby Prentice.

That’s sad. I have a really hazy memory of him sharing a packet of toffos with me and my brother on the 86 birkenside going back to mayfield after a game in the mid to late 70s when we were wee kids. 

 

Him, Gibson and Busby are the first players I remember.

Awful news.  RIP Bobby.  Coached me briefly at Dalkeith Juniors in the late 80s.  As an aspiring 11 year old winger, I hung on every word.  He couldn’t have been that old.

Never saw him play but he was clearly highly rated and respected.

One of my favourite players when I was a teenager. We had a few wingers at the time, with Malky Robertson and Kenny Aird, but Bobby was mine and most other fans number 1.
