Zlamal went from being an 'odd scary moment' keeper, to a complete nervous (train-)wreck throughout (despite a highly fortuitous clean sheet). I think Bobby is well aware that many blamed him for losing Hearts the cup final - a fragile confidence has just got worse with the criticism. Silva is on loan with Toronto-2 and Mason is not experienced enough. Personally I have no confidence in either Zlamal or Doyle, so I hope that Joel Pereira is signed to be the No 1 keeper and not just as cover. Being No 4 to De Gea, Romero and Grant at Old Trafford is no slight on his ability. My feeing is that Berra would be a more confident defender with a decent keeper behind him. Sorry to be pedantic but 24th June is not early June! Seven weeks after making that statement he’s had to bring another keeper in. Everyone know that the goalkeepers were not good enough, everyone except Levein right enough. He’s a mug!
