jambonian
Been sitting here this morning watching videos and dvds from seasons going back since 1986 (well not every season but randomly picking seasons) and forgot how good some of our players were at the time. So, to relieve the boredom of no footy season as yet, thought i'd think about and name my top 10 players of all time, and believe me, it was **** hard doing so! So many I had to leave out but anyway, here goes... John Colquhoun John Robertson Rudi Skacel Colin Cameron Craig Levein Paul Hartley Dave McPherson Takis Fyssas Anti Niemi Mike Galloway Feel free to add your favourites as there's too many to choose from. Not to discount the McDonald years, they were amazing, but JJs first tenure, building up a side almost using the McDonald formula, was exciting to behold and the football we played was brilliant. wheatfield to sheffield
First game I ever saw Gibson and Busby were playing, and Jim Jeffries too, Willie Gibson scored. But, that team was playing East Fife in the first divison and there can be no comparison in quality with the great teams of a decade (85-86) or two (97-98) or three (05-06) later. jambonian
Some great names here that could no doubt be in my list as well but as I said, fekin so hard to choose! No matter who was in charge at the time, good and bad, Mercer, Robinson, Romanov or current...we've had some crackin' players under their individual stewardships, and plenty nuggets.
