Starts this week at Pebble Beach. Obviously Brookes will be red hot favourite.

Looking at pictures from the course the rough looks absolutely brutal, even by US Open standards.

Snedeker has a chance if he keeps his form up

Wonder if the greens will be up to the job.

After backing the first two major winners this year I’m sure many are waiting patiently for my selections. Won’t be long lads.

Got a few on already.

Cantlay, Snedeker, Leishman & Dufner so far.

May put one or two on tomorrow as well

Speith or Simpson lads. Get on now before the prices tumble.

Posted

Ended up on DJ (from my Sung Jae Im winnings last week), Speith and Xander.

Few ew bets on Hao Tong Li, Abraham Ancer and Keith Mitchell too

Mickelson frl

Patient players who know how to loiter around the leading pack.    Fowler.   Kuchar.    Fleetwood maybe.    Rose anaw.

Posted

Some fine groupings,

Rose Woods Speith

Mcilroy Rham Leishman

Finau Polter Walker

Stenson Furyk Snedeker

Reed Oosthuizen Vegas

Molinari Koepka Hovland (AM)

Day Fowler Woo Kim

McDowel Mickelson Johnson

I hope we get to see a few of them, instead of the live coverage director hanging of one mans bellend.

Tiger is the main man.

There should be a dedicated Tiger cam IMO

Actually scrap that. Main coverage should just be Tiger, if you want to watch the dregs then get on the red button.

Posted

Dustin should have won here last time but for a blow up on last day. The course suits him so he is getting most of my cash

Tyrell Hatton plays well in the wind and finished 6th last year so could be good ew bet with bookies paying 10 places as he’s about 120/1

Phil mickelson is dynamite round here as well.

i just hope Keopka  does not walk away with another one.

Great idea...mon the dregs!

Tee off in 1 hour.

Sounds stupid - keep it straight, hit it close, putt it less ... and you will win.

Not much value at 12/1 for woods. I still want woods to win.

DJ is my biggest bet. Couple of free bets to use and they’re on Snedeker and Finau. EW on Fowler, Schauffele, Fitzpatrick and Na.

DJ bores me to death - I love Tommy, Woods, Spieth or Brooks to win.

Rahm, needs to get his nut together, needs a big bruiser on his bag that's capable of slapping him when he inevitably goes Tonto...:taz:

Molinari & Finau need to be believe they have the game to mix it with main contenders.

Day, just because I think he has one of these majors in him.

Simpson has been solid since the latter end of last year.

Spieth looks he's about to return to firm to threaten regularly.

Curtis Strange has had his day... ?

Psycho observations like Eldrick Tont Woods not being value for money @ 12/1 deserve the tetch.

I'm a huge fan of Spieth but did not like his outburst to the caddy about putting him in the water and through a green.

The caddy always gets it.

I remember Robert Allenby's caddy telling him to foxtrot oscar and walked off half way through the round

Didn't he get one of the punters from the gallery to pick up the bag for the rest of the round?

Allenby is quite a colourful /controversial character and made some headlines with his 'kidnapping' shenanigans a few years back.

However, came out with one of the most emotional and inspiring tributes to Jarrod Lyle last year.

His caddie can take it. They go back a very long way and he is well rewarded.

Aye - could be worse, could be that fecking skinflint Matt Kuchar's caddy !

Cracking round from Woodland but McIlroy is well placed and can see him being there going down the final stretch. Just the double bogey spoiled the round.

Leaderboard well bunched and looking for conditions to get a bit more testing to create some twists.

The Americans moronic shouting is really getting on my t*ts seems to get worse the longer the day goes on and the drunker they get.

Shite that it's on so late. Stopping me getting into it as there is no chance I'm staying up to watch it tomorrow night.

Edit: just to confirm, I'm not suggesting they should have moved it for the benefit of European viewers.

These are the times when the US Open is played in California that you want inclement weather for late in the day so they bring the tee times forward. To finish at 3a.m UK ?? time is a stretch

Bit too early for my liking with The Masters this year though !

Aye The Masters was finishing the day I was returning from my stag do. Flight landing just after 6 and the plan was to go to the pub and watch the golf. Ended up just coming home and saw about the last 3 shots.
